My name is Matt Jones. I have a number of years experience working on gardens all all varieties. I’ve learned the trade on the job but have recently decided to make my training more formal and to set up on my own. I continue my learning journey every day, still working with other gardeners and volunteering at Dyffryn Gardens in Wales where I help maintain one of Wales most beautiful gardens.

There’s always something to learn and discover and I enjoy every little job. Hopefully my enthusiasm will come through when we meet. I look forward to working on your Cotswold garden (or beyond).

I also work with suppliers that I know and trust including stone wallers and fencers, landscapers, topiary experts, tree surgeons and garden designers etc, and I am happy to recommend and team up with other services for large or more complicated jobs. Just ask.

Look after the environment
Creating a natural balance in biodiversity is the best means of pest control, there is no need to use chemicals, which is why I don’t.

‘Good’ fertiliser & compost
I stick to peat free and organic materials such as composted manure, mushroom compost and organic seaweed extract..

Green waste is good waste
I believe in composting and recycling on site wherever possible. This not only saves the planet but it means you keep the goodness in your garden. Ask me about how I can create a multipurpose compost area in your garden.

Local sourcing
I strive to source the majority of my plants, tools, fertiliser, top soil and any other items from the local area, ideally no more than 20 miles away. When that’s not possibleI will endeavour to use companies who have a sustainable supply chain ethic.
